JimT Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Just come home from town via Kissing Pt wharf-2 jewies and saw one dropped. then to Meadowbank Wharf with 2 Flathead , one rather large and something chasing a butterflied yellowtail as I left. This was all around 12-1am Regards Jim.......
JimT Posted October 29, 2011 Author Posted October 29, 2011 went passed again last night.........lot's of yellowtail being caught at Kissing Pt but as of 12am nothing else from there or Meadowbank Wharves........Jim
wannabefisho Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I personally wouldnt touch anything from KPW or Meadowbank and i think they are both over rated spots- I fished KPW for a year and a half when I lived in Ermington never saw anything bigger than 45/50cm soapies landed- great spot for yakkas though (as is any ferry wharf these days)... you just gotta get in early to get the prime spot and tide to reap rewards Anthony
arenb383 Posted November 2, 2011 Posted November 2, 2011 Went out to kpw to try it out, it was during the day and caught a few whittings, non leagal bream (22cm) and my wife caught a flatty (37cm), another fisho was ontro something big but unffortunately line snapped. im planning to go out again friday night but what i found was that the water is not that deep, im not sure about jewies hanging around the wharf area. has anyone here caught jewies from the wharf or would they only be caught in a boat that is in reach of deeper water?
