Join Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie's Fishing Competition this November

The competition will be held on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November. It's a catch-photo-release competition and open to all boaties in Lake Macquarie. The next Saturday, 3 December, we'll have a social afternoon for the winners with a sausage sizzle. So join in the fun, catch some fish, enjoy the Lake, and support Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie!

The target species for the competition are Flathead and Bream which need to be caught within the Lake Macquarie area. Competitors will photograph their catch on the supplied brag mat and can send their largest catch to our competition e-mail address for judging.

Entry fees are $10 per person or $30 per family/group of up to 5 people. You can enter online at www.marinerescuelakemacquarie.com.au or by visiting us at the Pelican base (Lakeview Parade, Pelican) on Friday 25 November 6pm to 8pm or on Saturday 26 November until 12pm.

We’ll have great prizes for men, women, and juniors for largest flathead and largest bream, runner-up trophies for juniors, and lucky boat rego prizes.
