GOOS Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 (edited) Hi Raiders, last weekend, i headed out to captain cooks bridge again in search on some squid and maybe a jew. upon arrival i saw a bloke doing the same thing, flicking lures for livies and also had a larger rod in, i suspected also for jew. i said hi and started squidding. after i finally snagged a lolly-pop sized calamari, i casted him in and headed over for a chat. Turns out my suspicions are correct, we both targeting jews. as current was dragging my bait towards the pylons, the bloke very generously let me fish next to him on his side of the bridge. (Thanks again Bro!) .. and to my astonishment. i turned what was left of my squid into a just legal soapie. wasn't much of a fight as i was using my big gear and aiming large!! lol.. measured just over 60cm ?? i forgot... later we moved over to the other side as the tide turned, and the tailors were thick. we caught a few live tailor and cast them out. Ben's rod was doing all sorts of crazy shit, .... .... anyway, long story short.. he reeled in in and the tailor turned into the biggest bream i've ever seen caught! before i left found out the owner of the horse-bream is a fellow raider Edited November 4, 2011 by GOOS
