Hey raiders I have just discovered my dads old beach outfit. Alvey reel and rod. I have spooled the alvey with 20lb mono I need help with the rod though

It's a silstar power tip pt-1202BWA 7144

Is this rod any good?

I was looking at a Wilson fibreglass rod but not sure if I should just keep this one. Pretty ancient but a bit of cleaning and I'm sure she is a beauty

I have a 7144 with a 6.5inch alvery. Great for pigs. just get replacement guides if need be.

It's a heavey outfit... so you might have to hit the gym.
