quiet few days from the harbour shore

g'day raiders

decided to get some fresh squid to target kingies. Hit up Clifton gardens yesterday morning. Lots of baby squid around but easily spooked. Changed to a small jig, lighter leader and a 6ft leader length (swivel was spooking them). Managed to entice a few to take the jig but dropped all 3. met some nice blokes and one gave me some pillies which i put on a squid spike but that wasnt touched either. Went very quiet when the full sun came up so called it .

hit up spit bridge this morning for squid also. Nothing. just so happened i met one of the guys from yesterday morning - small world on the stones

Around 9am i noticed a shadow behind my jig. got all excited but it turned out to be a large kingy - at least 80cm. Followed my jig all the way back to the rocks then swam off. I changed as quick as i could to a Soft Plastic - 7" jerk shad and tried for the next hour for doughnuts.
