SP's off the beach?

Hey raiders,

I have always been a fresh is best live is better person with fishing even off the beach, but these days i dont have as much time as i would like to, to collect bait and go fishing. Over the past months i have taken a few SP's down with me and had a few spins before i start bait fishing but haven't hadmuch luck. I mainly target Jew off the beach with the alvey, and for a bit of fun have a second rod for bream, or whiting.

My question is, is it worth just going with soft plastics to work a gutter? and if so do they work on the failing light and after dark?

Target Fish: Bream, Flathead, whiting, tailor, salmon or Jew

Location: Northern Beaches

any tips would be much appreciated
