hi just looking for some advice

want to add a live bait tank to my 475 freedom sport in the stern of the boat in the gunnal. how to i go about this ?? is it something that you buy or have to get custom made?? im in sydney and looking to get it done as cheaply as possible but look good and not DIY ish if you know what i mean

Im about to try and attempt this myself aswell. Should cost me about $200 i hope with all fittings. Otherwise there are a few places that can make it for you from aluminum for around the $550 mark i think.

Here are a few pics of the work done. I didn't take pictures of fitting the bilge pump. But everything else was pretty straight forward. Took few hours but its so much better than having a separate tank sitting inside the boat.

It end up costing me just under $200 (Tank was the most expensive @ $99). I am still yet to trial to see if my 19mm overflow will be enough. But as you can see the tank drains at the bottom via an over flow pipe which is removable so when im done i can just pull out the pipe and the tank will just drain out.

The size of the tank is around 380x260x320mm (LxWxD) so double check if you have the space on the back or your transom for it.

The tank holds about 25-30l of water. Which should be enough for yakkas as long as i keep the water aerated.

Im looking at exactly what you did with your live bait well in my 490 freedom sport. Have you got any extra advice for me regarding any of the instal, plumbing, sizing etc. Also, where did you get your lid from?
