Hi Raiders, after reading, reading and more reading, I finally caught my first Kingy this morning! 65 cm on a live yakka. Such an awesome feeling to see line screaming off the reel. It was fun keeping it away from the pylons. Geez they go hard when they see the wharf!

A quick photo, then got another yakka out there. And straight on to a 70 cm salmon. I must have thrown the yakka straight down his throat!

Headed home after that on a high! Can't wait to do it again.

Sounds like you were land based.

At Balmoral wharf. The water has warmed up heaps and there was lots of action on the surface.
