Hi raiders,

Just couldn't help commenting on something that I see more and now

that drift casting plastics and TV fishing has become so over pushed.

I've noticed it off Long Reef Sydney but must happen elswhere as well.

the number of idiots who after having completed a drift passed moored boats

who are laying burley trails down current, decide to do another drift and drive

up the stern of moored boats and over areas they have just fished. Longy is so

shallow the fish spook really easy and take ages to come back. More often than not

you get abused if you have the hide to ask these numb nuts to at least go wide around

you. Typical reply is wotta u think ya own the f in ocean. Its just time everyone

used a little common sense and gave everyone a wide berth when motoring.

Another place i noticed the lack of concern for fellow fishers was in the Shoalhaven

River a couple of weeks ago with the tide just on the turn and a few fish getting going

the day was ruined by 30 or 40 drongo's screeming down stream to a weigh in at Greenwell

point @ 2pm. 200hp & 300hp outfits all covered in sponsor names all dressed like

they were lost on their way to the Mardi Gras. Just imagine what these supremo's

of Australian TV fishing comps would do if we buzzed around them with outboards blazing

just as the favoured halo smelly plastic splashed near down during the comp.

I couldn't agree more mate... Similar things happen to me whilst fishing brooklyn. They have a whole ocean to boat but they have to come within metres of where we are anchored.
