tba003 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Hey guys was thinking it's about time to start chasing the kings again I only fish LB an was just wondering if any1 knows of people having success lb lately because iv seen fair fee reports now on kings but only on boats
michaelchen Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 try under the harbour bridge. lots of people are catching jews and kings at the moment. I didnt catch anything but i have seen people catching very big kings!
bennoz Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 plenty of spots in and around the harbour. Spit bridge, middle head, little manly, north head, clifton gardens. kinda hard to say.... go here, they do move around - which makes it hard for us LB ppl just remember to get some fresh bait, pick your time to go and you should hook up
CarlRak Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Just curious as to how most people bait for Kings when land-based in the harbour? Still using livies? With or without weight? Seems precarious considering the snag/reefing dangers of land-based spots? Or are lures a better bet?
ghost88 Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Dont know how people bait their bait. But for me it depends on condition and depends on what I feel. If I only have one live bait rod, I'll use unweighted If there is no wind and if there is wind, I use weight. I often take two live bait rods one weighted one unweighted save all the hassle
Michael Feeney Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Kiama ald JB all the way dude I agree, there is a place in Jervis Bay called the Tubes and everyone catches kingies up to 30kg down there. I havent fished Kiama but I hace heard that around the blowhole they catch alot of kings. Correct me if im wrong.
