Cheers, Stan A bit early for the FAD Stan. 12 mile you might get lucky but there again probably not. If i were you i would save some fuel and concentrate on fishing the inshore reefs up to about 50m with either livies or jigs. There are some BIG kings in close atm.
PRED-ATOR Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Thanks lads. 12 mile has been firing this winter so hopefully it does even better in the summer : )
kurtisjohnthomas Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 I heard a report today that a 12kg Kingy was taken off the New Reef. Got it on Live Slimey.
boattart Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Word is the Kings have been around the close reefs but spoke to a mate this morning that says they have thinned out a bit and more undersize fish around but still worth the effort. We fish Saturday and stopped for an hour in the arvo at the 12 mile with Livies and jigs. Hooked one good king that we had half way up when a jacket bit the sinker then pulled the hook on another. Then the jackets proceed to bite everything off. Another boat next to us got 3 on jigs and left before the jackets.
PRED-ATOR Posted November 14, 2011 Author Posted November 14, 2011 thanks for the replied lads. I gotta give the boat a good run as its skipping a little bit. i might just smash it around the harbour and find some kings in there
