1st bass

took my father in laws kayak out for a fish in the nepean down at devlins road on the weekend to try and catch my 1st ever bass...had a few goes from the bank and a boat before but never any luck and finally got it....3rd cast i actually went over a tree branch then straight into the water which actually did me a favour, few of the leaves must had stirred the surface and couple seconds later at 23cm bass hit my surface lure...My 1st ever bass now the tricky part was keeping it out of the weeds and getting my line out of the tree which i did and was cheering afterwards...ended up with another bass around the same size and dropped a couple more so will definately be out there again trying for more bass now
