Hey guys,

Just getting back into the fishing scene, been scouring the reports and write ups, after a decent weekend i thought I'd do the decent thing and share a little.

:1fishing1:

Good mate and rods in the car, we set off north for Narrabeen lakes, we ventured up and down the main drag to finally find the Narrabeen Bait and Tackle shop- Wow what a Great Shop! We grabbed two bags of live nippers, some fresh prawns and a little white bait + a little extra tackle just to support to local guys.

Poke our nose through the institute of sport, but found too many warning do not enter signs on the bbq area so we did a quick 180.

We found a nice spot across from a little island which had a little sand bar close by.

Threw my first line in with a live nipper to nail a decent flatty straight away from the other side of the river, was a fair fight with alot of line out to begin with,

Next line in with a fresh prawn, straight away, just undersize brim, This continue pretty much all arvo, unfortunately all littlies so obvious catch and release. But a great arvo of reel spinning none the less. I think we totaled 2 flatties, a dozen or so brim, 2 whiting and some other striped whiting looking thing..

There were a heap of people in and around us, but they didn't seem to be catching anything at all...Maybe the fresh bait was doing us the golden deed?

We did see a family keep little bream that was just wrong. I tried to call the maritime service to report them, but the service kept disconnecting me upon saying we are transferring you to a representative...wasn't impressed. My friend and I made plenty of loud " WOW another little UNDERSIZED fish" comments for the short hour they were there, I think they took the hint and packed up.

Will be looking to go back and find there makers next weekend- looks like we were fishing in the nursery for babies...

Mark :biggrin2:
