adkel53
I'm looking for a moderately priced jig rod to match with a Shimano Saragosa 8000 reel. Will use it for jigging in water up to about 50 metres deep off Sydney Harbour and Botany Bay. Any suggestions? Kel

double pluggers
G-day Kel try a smith or jigging master they are not cheap but they are great to use, you can find some reasonably priced second hand ones if you keep an eye out.cheers -J
kurtisjohnthomas
I too am looking at a Jigging Rod. My choice is either a Samaki Offshore Pro Jigging. Approx $200 or Daiwa Demon Blood Jig Spin Approx $
dhype
+1 for the smith amj rods... very light but extremely powerfull. Pulled in countless NZ kings on the amj 52m with a saltiga z30 and s56m with a Stella 8000 last week without an issue. Top rods at a very reasonable price. DezM
Hi I also use a smith 54h and highly recommend it for jigging and for live baiting, bottom bashing and trolling. It's a very versatile rod. The premium rods tend to be thinner blanks and very light enabling you to jig without fiighting with your gear. If you can be patient, a second hand smith or saltiga 63s is my recommendation. Cheers Dez

We had the jigging/popping rod (100 lbs rating!)loaded up with easily 40 + kg of force in the shop, and it took it. Very impressed. The grips feel really good too. For $250 you can't fault it I reckon. And they look bling too!!!!! After that, I only hear good things about the Daiwa Monster Mesh sticks......
