Matt G
Went out to Port Hacking on Sunday and came across a few fish, the standout was this beautiful whiting that went 43cm. The water was very brown from all the rain we had during the week, but it didn’t seem to turn the fish off. We had constant action for a few hours with whiting and bream taking up our offering of freshly pumped nippers. We also had a school of Salmon busting up the surface for about half an hour and had loads of fun with our light gear, plastics and metal slices. trentafi
some nice whiting there.... was out port hacking yesterday on monday the 28th. no problem catching the live yakkas. water cleared up significantly from the weekend so we threw a few jigs out and got a couple of squid. after trawling the livies for several hours no success. The lure managed to snag a bonito but nothing else really seemed interested. i must say i have never seen so many bait balls on the sounder...so much bait around just nothing was interested. hopefully a few warmer currents come down and entice some of the kingfish back.
