I have decided to get a new boat :)

I am trying to toss up between:

A haines traveller tf200 175hp or

a quintrex 650 offshore 175hp

if anyone could help, i am ready to pay more for the haines as long as it is better :)

Thanks

hay mate i would usually go for the haines but with that model quintrex i think its a better overall fishing boat then the haines which i regard as more leasure boat, river boat no so much offshore...(hasnt got deflective bow and lower transom compared to quintrex) my opinion is only based on what i would be looking for in a boat and i would prolly feel more inclined on saving the coin and geting the quintrex i would fell much safer offshore

hope this helps

The Haines would run rings around the Quinny, especially on the bumpy days. You wont find many (if any) alloy boats than run better than a good glass boat in any conditions. I have one of the heaviest, strongest and very highly rated 6.6m alloy boats around that is an awesome machine, but on those 25knt+ extra choppy days i really wish my 4.75 Haines signature was 6.6m and i was out in that!

Thanks alot :)

I think i will go for the haines (tested them both out) :) there is a decent amount of space and it is more stable, should be heading out to the shelf soon :)

thanks
