harold Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Picked up the new boat from Mosman yesterday at about 2pm, filled up at the Spit and out the heads and turned left. The ocean was smooth as the wind had totally vanished. Got to Broken Bay in record time and into the Hawkesbury although it is 10 months since we have had a boat, it seemed i had never left the river. Scooted down to the 4 knots sign at cottage point and turned into the creek towards Akuna Bay and there on the left was a school of truly massive fish feeding on the surface less than a metre from the eastern shore. Can you imagine how frustrating this was? I had not yet put any rods, handlines, spear guns or anything i could even throw at them (in an atempt to knock one out!) Very frustrating. The rods go on next weekend and i bet i never see fish in that easy to get to spot again. Harold
Guest bluecod Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 Bad mistake leaving the rods at home there will be other times But doesn't it feel good to be back on the water
