I've put in a rod holder, along the passenger side, mounted on the side, holding the rods horizontally. Works ok. Tips get a bit trapped if you have life vests where the passenger feets are. Rods are aroung 6 feet.

But when fishing they tend to be all over the place as I dont put them back, as it is a bit of a hassle with seat. I probably will mount a holder on that little door towards the bow, so I quickly can lock in the rods when I dont use them.

Might post picture of actual rod holder and new holder (when the wet season is over)

yeh wanna try have them standing up so easily stored and accessible, might put a horizontal rack in to

seen others have them standing up around that door up the front and around the corner passenger side,

either that or up above the Bimini

Obey 1 - looks great but I cant do the same on my Freedom Sport 530 as I have the moulded plastic down the sides which are uneven and don't allow for such racks to be installed.

Instead I have installed some vertical rod holders - 2 x 3 set in both back corners in the rear just before the rear seat which allows 6 rods to be in place between spots and travelling on the water or trailering boat. I have a further 5 vertical rod holders (I made up myself on back of a piece of wood) that sit at the bow along side one of the seats on the floor) again good for travelling and keeps rods out of way ready for use. If I want to use the bow to fish from I have another 3 vertical holders mounted on the little door between cockpit and the bow. None of these impede on the use of the bimini.

I also have mega chopper bait board that can hold another 4 rods but more for when fishing.

Might be confusing but very practical and keeps rods out of the way and vertically mounted.

Cheers

Sido

Excellent work mate!!

I never thought to remove the seat in my 475 Freedom Sport and your photos have just given me more room!!

Cricket season is over after this week - got to make up for lost time before the New Year kicks in again...
