Hi Raiders

carting the boat up to Forster over the Xmas break, can anyone tell me whats on around that time of year

mainly chasing Snapper, Kings & jews

Hey mate,

I'm going up as well and have been for years. It's great fishing up here. With the jewfish the best place is the breakwall. You can use plastics, the best ones are the 9 inch ones go the best. Or if you can pick some live bait up either mullet from the Forster marina which goes good or some live yellowtail from the breakwall but the best bait is octopus if you can get one decent size one and throw out a leg you should get one. Just make sure you read the tides and you fish the turn because the current does fly threw there. For outside I only brought a boat 6 months ago and plan on hammering the deep sea fishing.i found this site http://www.fishntales.com/gpsmarks/nsw/forsters.htm I'm going off this also I posted a topic a few weeks ago and someone was kind enough to give me some gps marks as well http://www.fishraider.com.au/Invision/index.php?showtopic=59490&st=0&gopid=426252entry426252 if you see a 5.25 savage centre consol outside that will be me. thanks heaps for the info, Forsters a great place it's self & catching a few fish puts it in "The Best List"

when are you going up??

I will be there on Boxing day & staying for 3 weeks "Yeeh"
