I have not had too much luck with kingies this season using yakkas and I was wondering where I could go to catch squid, I launch my boat at roseville boat ramp and travel out past middle head and out offshore, any help would be much appreciated

Thanks, I have never heard of a paternoster rig for squid I also launch at bay view boat ramp, are there any spots in pittwater? Thanks

If keeping Squid to use as bait for future fishing sessions, what is the best way to clean it up?

Should they go in the freezer as they are?

Or is it ok to rinse them in freshwater before freezing them?

Hi B Man,

Pop them straight in a zip-lock bag still in their own ink, squeeze as much air out as possible then straight in the freezer when you get home. Last pretty well if kept like this. Whatever you do never let them touch fresh water, even if you plan to use them fresh, just ruins them as bait.
