LOWRANCE HDS5 WITH AIRMAR P66 TRANSDUCER

Hi fellas. A mate of mine has just bought himself a new Lowrance HDS 5 and it came with a AIRMAR P66 transducer. It's a 50/200w transducer and wondering whether anyone has any experience with these transducers and how they perform compared to the standard Lowrance 50/200w transducer.

He's a little worried about it and trying to work out whether it's worthwhile taking it back and getting the Lowrance transducer or keeping the AIRMAR.

Any thoughts?

Nothing wrong with airmar, just depends on the depth of water he will be using it in, i had the airmar tm260 on a hds 5 & picked up bottom at 1460mtrs, i sold the hds5 & got a hds8 its even better
