adkel53
I am considering purchasing a 3 or 4 piece travel rod that can be fitted into luggage and taken on a plane (can you carry them on - I've had varying advice on this). Looking for something in the 6-7 foot range that will throw light weights for bream, trout, lizards, whiting and so on. Does any one have any suggestions? Cheers Kel

Bracey
You can take a rod on board any flight international or domestic but you can't take hooks on board. Checked baggage only for hooks. Cheers, Bart
slinkymalinky
I've been refused entry through security screening at Sydney domestic airport with a travel rod and made to check it in as baggage. It might depend on who's manning the screening point at the time I guess. Cheers, Slinky

Bracey
Security screening can vary from place to place and it is an argument that you will always lose so it's not worth getting into it with them. That said there has been a recent change for Australia to let rods on board. Cheers, Bart
lure-n-fly
+1 for the Daiwa wilderness. I keep mine in the back of the car with a small box of lures...just in case! For its purpose, it's great value.
