Benji-martin
Hello everyone Went down to my normal shore line area for a flick for some flathead. Got down there and saw a guy who was trying to use plastics but really didn't know how. When I got closer it was the guy who was talking to me when I got the 11 flathead. He had gone out and brought his own plastics. I cast out and first cast bang I was on a nice flathead. Then the mate next to me asked for some tips. I was more then happy to help him because he was very keen to learn. For the next 90min I showed him how to but the plastic on tie the knot and work the plastic. All was going good and it all payed off when he got a nice 51cm flathead and he had a huge smile on his face. Said my good byes and went bac because I was taking the family out on the boat today. Took the family out on the boat for a fish/ cruise. We fished around the oysters for a little for no fish. We then went back to the wharf and went and got some hot chips for lunch and went around to one of the islands to eat. After this I took done chips for bait because they are with out a dought the best bait you could use in the lake for bream. In 20min we got to legal bream on floating hot chip people don't believe it works till they see it. After this we went to fish the bridge but saw some dolphins and ended up watching them around the breakwall with my dad getting some really good photos. After that a change came threw so we went home a good day on the lake. Martin
arpie
Well done Martin, for showing that bloke how to use SPs - he'll be singing you praises for many a year to come! Great that he landed a decent flattie, too. he, he, I've been looking for a decent 'chip' lure for some time now! I first discovered how effective they were down at Tuross some years ago and more recently up at Brunswick Heads near the marina! The bream are pretty cunning tho & seem to know which one has a hook attached, even if with no added weight! Glad you got a nice bream cheerio Roberta
