petdos
Hi to all,i was one the many, many boats out on bot/bay today, nice day, afternoon a bit blowy, lot of activaty,so a fare mean chop , so i came in (about 6pm),out of the day i could not belive the amount of boats with kids under the age of 12yrs without jackets on,and the worst sight of all was an older man with 3 small children at the back all with no safety gear on at all ,i couldnt help myself but say something but was told to mind my buisiness, what made me more angry was that the marine rescue whatched this fellow leave the jetty,im a father /grand father and it would absolutly distroy me if anything happened to my kids from my own lazzyness or stuppiditty,i just dont understand why, anyway just my 20 cents, thanks pete. Guest Aussie007
was life jackets on children part of the new rules? im often mistaken for that i cant swim while im on my boat alone untill i explain to people time after time its the new rules than everyone else puts on there life jackets i dont think the new rules have been clear enough and only those who something happen to on the water listen the second time around the new rules need to be inforced more i was approached by the BB water police a few months ago the cop mentioned it was good to see me wearing my life jacket (fishing alone under 4.8m boat new rules) since the new rules came out ive rarely seen a lone boater with a life jacket on
The Incredible Hull
Life jackets are compulsory to be worn on children at all times, at least I do this when I take my daughter out. On the other hand, who gives a sh!t what other people do, its not your problem.
