kanasey
First post on fishraider. When up to the Entrance early morning on the first of the first 2012. It was the first time I actually go there for fishing. Took about $30 worth of bloodworms from Sydney and off we left about 7:00 am. Got to the lake near the bridge and looked in the water and it was like wowwww big whiting!!! Threw my rod near them and nothing, its like they have already eaten After many tries around the lak and catching nothing but little undersized fish, we decided to head of the beach side at about midday. The waves where strong but decided to give it a shot anyways. At first it was nothing and just when we was about to give up banggggg the first good size whiting hooks on. From then on we just kept catching whiting after whiting after whiting. Soon after around high tide we had many others fishing near us and everyone was catching good whiting. All in all we caught about 30 whiting ranging from legal size to about 35 cm. Only about 3-4 undersize fish where caught at the beach that got released back. The picture below is of just my catch.....ate half of them the next day with the family. Best fish to eat in my opinon

kanasey
Thanks guys. Does anyone know any great places for whiting around Sydney? I have tried Wanda beach before and they are just as good, Brighton beach has some too but all small sizes.....
