lambo
my mate and i and his dog trolled early yesterday with various rapalas and some small skirts. did a couple of laps at washaway to dobroyd, zilch. saw a school of what looked like tailor, but they were not interested in anything we cast at them. then did a couple of laps old mans hat to nth head - again zilch. so back to washaway and managed 1 sargeant baker. back by 11.00 bit of a woftam really, quite windy and heaps of boats at the ramp and inside nth head. no one seemed to be setting the world on fire. there were also idiots who had no idea of trolling etiquette and cutting across our stern a few times. bring on the end of holiday season so us poor old pensioners can have the place quiet again cheers
adkel53
I was out there yesterday too and had similar results. Downrigged a live yakka around Quarrantine Hd and out to North Hd and back for nought. Headed up harbour and trolled around Rushcutter's Bay/Garden Island. Eventually found some small kings on the surface near the botanic gardens but could not induce a strike on small plastics, small poppers or small walk the dog type lures. That was the only surface action I saw all morning. Had a bumpy trip back to Tunks Park into a 30kmph nor-easter I'll be giving the harbour a miss until the end of the holiday season and hope that the water warms up bit more and the kings and bonnies come out to play. Light line sportsfishing at its best! Edited January 4, 2012 by kel
