Land based squid spots

I have recently gotten into squidding and would like to improve on it as squid is awesome bait for jewies. All I am asking if anyone could give me a heads up on any land based spots around Sydney harbour where I can catch squid regularly.

Hi Persistence,

For bait purposes there are plenty of small arrow squid around the ferry wharves at night. There are a few tricks to catching them consistently though.

I get big southern calamari - good for bait, better for the dinner plate - around La Perouse, early morning works for me.

Where do you live? I may be able to recommend some more locations.

Hi,

I live in the st George area and I am also looking for a land based squidding spot. I have always read around laperouse is best or Yarra bay. These are both big places though. Can you narrow down that area at all for me or any other areas nearby?
