What Leader and line are you using?

What style of reel are you using?

I use vanish flurocarbon 14lb for my leader and i use 10lb PRt fins braid for my main line

Using a normal egg beater reel/spinning reel

is it maybe because of the water?

Mate years ago I used vanish in 14 and 17 lb and found the same thing happened . I found the vanish to be quite stiff and when tying knots in tended to burr the line as well as twisting up. I fixed the problem by changing brands of leader and haven't had a problem since . I run seaguar up to about 20 lb and black magic for my heavier gear . My 2 cents cheers Ace

is your leader where it joins your braid just wrapping around a couple of times, or is your leader at the end coming back up and wraping around your braid?

Supply some more detailed info. Can not get a clear picture of what you are asking

The leader connected to the swivel twists around my main line, when I reel in my line I find it twisted all over my main line twirled like when you do a knot so basically my swivel will be just twisted with my braid its easy to un twist but I just wanted to know why it keeps occurring .

thanks

What rig are you using?

Are you fishing out of a boat or shore?

Are you casting the rig?

What bait are you using?

What depth are you fishing?

If your dropping the rig, the bait is spinning up the line on the drop. A more stream iline bait could help.

Make sure your tag ends at the knots are very short as the tags can tangle the line and hamper the swivel, specially fluro as its so stiff.

Maybe a different rig might be the ansawer...

I'd say it's the rig dragging along the bottom and the bait is twisting up you line.

Something to try, next time if rigged your way. on the cast as soon as it hits the water, wind in the slack line, dont let any more out. this should keep the main line tight and no chance of bait twisting around the main line on the sink. Think your bait will be helicoptering as its dragged down by the weight of the sinker.

You can try either a paternoster rig with the sinker on the bottom and a dropper loop for hook n bait. As the rig drags along the bottom the bait will be just above it or use a star sinker to anchor the rig in one position. keep the dropper short so it cant spin to much.

With your baits, keep them straight, long and thin. If using baits like pillies, trim the tails, they spin baits sitting in current. Prawns, use a longer shank hook so the prawn is skewered straight. squid strips long and thin and only put the hook though the bait once near the tip of one end so it or they dangle.

A bit of food for thought and hope it works for you.
