early morning session, no luck with the kings, so fished the wash on the run-out till 1 hr before max low then called it a day..

13 fish between me and my mate, anyone have problems with the force ten floats cutting of the mainline...lost 2 brand new floats on the 1st down,( i had to open up eye as it was filled with the paint/glue ), 100% sure there were no nicks in the line and the knots were good

looking for a 12ft or longer slow/med taper blackfish rod any suggestions?

I don't use the eyelets and cut them off on store bought floats. I fish a fixed float off the rocks and generally make my own. If you have a lot of money to spend, then the Pacific Composites Blackfish rod, 3145G, or a few mates use the Jarvis Walker Ocean Blackfish Rod at around $55-60, which is a bargain.

Cheers,

U pull a small section of plastic tube onto the stem at the top of the bottom. You pull the plastic over the line on your float to hold it in place. I use to use this method, but I have reverted bact to the eye lets as i found the float would pull over a little from the drag of the line as the float drifted. given the top eye let is normally at water level, I found this a better alternative for me.
