Us13feb05
Hi raiders We set of at 8am out to west head for some yakkers after about 15 mins we had a tank full no squid though Then went to bar point to fish the runout tide About 40 mins before the turn my bream stick with a strip of yakker got smoked after a long run and short fight I was busted off in the reef not happy! Shortly after re-rigging it went off again 10-15 mins later after a hard fight I landed 4.5 kg Jew After the turn we bagged two more. Jew 1@50 &1@55cm We lost a few livies with big runs picked up a few small Jew bloody catfish & a big shovel nose Not a bad day out beats workin Cheers clemo Edited January 15, 2012 by Clemo80
rocca22
Nice one. Where's Bar Point? Haven't fished the Hawsbury much but would like to start.
The Incredible Hull
Nice one! Do you anchor on the edge south of the reef? I haven't had much luck at Bar Point, so instead I travel a little more south and head to Bar Island, and fish a drop off there, a 3m - 10m ledge. Us13feb05
Bar point is opposite the opening of berowra waters I anchor about 25 meters from the green marker post on the bar point side. There is a nice gutter there that produces some good fish best on a runout tide
