gday raiders,

just a not-so-quick post, the Jews are out there!!

we launched from Oatley and headed straight for our LBG spot.

managed a half dozen yakkas including 2 perfect lollipop sized ones.

then headed to usual spot at captin cooks, on arrival saw a few other boats, prob chasing jew as well. i thought Nice! free burley trails.

We also started a thin burely trail at 8pm and fished with pillies and live worms till about 11pm. got a massive pike which was fun on light gear and some bream, pinkies, tailor, .. all back in the drink

it hit 11pm and we deployed 3 livies... after an hour or so DrDell's rod buckles over and there alot of weight on. drags being taken at a steady rate but the rod tip aint bouncing... we got a bit excited as we havn't been out for a while. and attracted a bit of attention from another boat close by.. they all turned around with disappointment when we saw color and called in a shovel nose... :ranting2:

fished there till an hour after the tide change and pulled my line in to find that my yakka somehow got all his strength back and was vibrating like a slimey!! back in he goes..

persisted till 4am, then bored outta our minds, we called it, and started heading back. on the way back we sounded a nice drop off near baldface. we thought aye why not. give it an hour or so. and i'm glad we did.

chucked in the remaining 2 livies and filleted the largest one. within 30 minutes Moppet's rod goes Bannanas!! his 4000 reel is screaming it's bloody head off while he is gradually tightening the drag. we told him to take it easy on the drag, as the whole time while he's turning the dail, the real is still screaming. i can see head shakes and is looking very promising. Moppet pulls the rod back to try and stop the train, he tightens the drag again and pop. confused i go over to Moppet and try to pull his line out... but his drag is so tight that i nearly cut my finger on the braid.. me and DrDell wanted to :gun_bandana: Moppet!

we got over the loss and tried again. while discussing how we gonna split up the remaining bait DrDell's rod does something funny, bounce bounce. little run,. then ZZzzzzzz. he strikes and ON! after a very short run, We pull in our first school jew at bout 85cm.

we quickly net and esky it in a rush to get our lines back out. i put on a slab, cast, 5min, run, blah blah. second Schoolie! bit smaller but still very happy.

15mins later Moppets lands a similar one! and that frown turned into a massive smile. it was like someone came and gave him a massive

Hi Fives all round as we got one each. and headed home with an overfilled esky. bloody awesome night! :1clap:

*will post pics tomorrow morning as i didn't bring my usb cable to work..
