Mooring required at Mackeral Beach (Pittwater)

Hi,

We have rented a house at Mackeral Beach for the long weekend. It was supposed to come with a mooring, but I've just been told that the mooring is now in use. Bugger!

So I'm hoping someone on FR knows someone who knows someone who has a mooring at Mackeral that they know is not in use at the moment. Maybeeee?

Otherwise, I'm planning to just anchor up next to the moorings there when I'm not using the boat. Anyone got any advice on that - maybe my "anchor" should be a cement filled car tyre in the event of bad weather? (Which I would remove afterwards)
