niclebum
Hi Raiders, ive got this Jarvis Walker Noreaster QTD 5126 that I've got no idea about and I can't seem to find info on the web about it. For anyone who has one how much are they usually?? I'm also wondering how long it is.. It looks to be about 12 ft or so.. Would it be alright for black fishing as at the moment I only use my 2-4 kg Catana for that type of fishing. And finally what would be a good spin reel to fit it with? I suspect the rod is only a cheap one so i only want to put a cheap reel on it that would be perfect for black fishing and just filled with mono or something. More info about it: action- LHT/MED whatever that means, taper-MED, cast weight-20-60g, line class 5-8 kg Really whippy rod etc Thanks Parraman
luderick -angler
Parraman itsa 5 wrap 10 foot 4 inch rod whats the action like does it flex to about two thirds of the way and quite whippy in the tip? What is the handle set up like is it low mid or high thsi will tell you the type of reel suited! From a google search it seems it is a continuation of the old butterwoth series Should be okay for blackies but most likely it is a bream rod for breakwalls. Cheers Royce

Cheers Royce Thanks for the info it's mid.. When I first saw it I thought I could put an alvey on it but I'm thinking a spin reel so I did have other options with other fishing. The rod is so whippy and yep bends a lot so I was thinking it'd control a blacky really well
