DaveTheBoy
Bit of a delayed report from last weekend. Headed down to Lake Illawarra with tasksta (Paul) - piled us both into my yak & away we went on a roaring incoming tide. A little way down the channel we notice some bait being stirred up - flicked a plastic out & the reel started screaming. Not sure what the record for mullet on plastics might be - this suprise catch went 41cm. A really solid fight and one fish in the net had us in good spirits. A little further down we ran into a good patch of tailor, lots of fun on light gear had us both into them for half an hour or so just follwoing a few schools. Spent the rest of our morning trying for flathead - but no luck here. I was using plastics, Paul tried a blade. With no luck on the flathead, but a very fun time had - we headed back in. Thanks paul - great session bud! Cheers, Dave
