kenneth
I'm new to the site & my first post. So here i go... I've fished for a while but never took it that seriously, probably only couples times a year, so yeah pretty amatuerish. Now i've started to become alot more interested & recently started to catch my own bait. I would like to know from your experiences what live bait types are good for what species? Also while your here, what fish have you caught with an unusual bait? Cheers Gav,
Benji-martin
Hi mate and welcome. There are plenty of fish you can catch that would eg. Hardy heads, tailor ( over 30cm), slimmey mackerel, gar fish, mullet and more. By far the best I have ever used dead alive or cut up is yellow tail. Everything will have a go at it can't go wrong same goes for squid but a little harder to catch. Martin
Jew Stalker
If you can get hold of slimy mackerels you will catch everything. They are oily and very tasty for the fishies. Not much will resist a slimy. Also another gun bait if you come across them are stripey tuna. I have caught so many things on stripey.
