How do you get to Blue Fish Point, Manly by foot?

So my mate had this fantastic idea to try a new fishing spot. Blue Fish Point, Manly. He did "some" research before hand but obviously not enough. We must have hiked every track on North Head, but still did not manage to figure out how the hell to get to this particular spot :ranting2: From the map it looks like it is behind the Water Treatment Plant, but this is all fenced off. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me a better understanding of how to get there.

blue fish it self is unfishable inside bluefish and the old crap outlet can be fished i haven't been there for 15 years but the track should be the same were you park head north and the track starts on the fence line i would only recomend inside blue fish sort off under the shit works facing north there used to be livey pools there made from concrete the old crap outlet is very hairy and i would only fish there in dead flat conditions

if you get into trouble down either spots your on your own proberly no phone reception and no one can see you and a good 30 min walk out is a fish worth your life i think not

cheers gary

I do not recomend Bluefish to anyone not familiar with the area and who cannot swim, its a known fatality spot like all of the Sydney murks, stay away theres much safer ledges at little bluefish further towards Fairy Bower and Manly.

MY RECOMENDATION DO NOT FISH THIS SPOT ACCESS IS TOUGH AND THE SPOT IS A SWELL MAGNET NO FISH IS WORTH A LIFE.

BEST FISHED FROM A BOAT!!!!!

like everyone is sayin if your not familiar with the spot, dont go there. many a time i have had close calls on the ledge its very slippery!!! ive fished it for twenty years every time you go in you have to be alert, i have had a fall once if it werent for my backpack it would have been the last fall i would take. any one familiar with the high tide track, thats what i fell off straight on my back, iwas fortunate enough too have two mates with me, one ran back out for phone coverage to alert authorities the other stayd, tryd walkn out got 100m before i went into shock, had a shattered heel, not real good for climbing ledges and going up ropes. end result air lift RPA. it can happen to anyone, the hunt for new terrain is what drives us as fisherman you have too have your whitts about you, dont let adrenalin get in the way of your better judgement commonsense! if your not shure about it dont do it? no fish is worth it.

Wow, that's one hell of a story. Keep reading bad things about this spot so I think I'll give it a miss. Plenty of other places that are easier to get to and safer to fish from. I'll let my friend know.
