beach fishing rod

so this year im wanting my first beach jew, so for that im going to need to purchase another rod. what im after is a rod capable of casting larger baits such as live yellowtail, tailor, mullet and of course squid as well as larger sinkers of the star variety.

most rods i have been shown seem way to flexible in the tip section, seems as though if i use a sinker and a whole bait they would just flop out, yes they are beach rods im shown in the 8-15kg 10-14ft range but the cast weights on some are quite low eg <100gram

will be matching my 6500 shimano baitrunner to it and dont mind at all to splurge (well lets say up to $300).

i have used the search function in particular for "beach jew rod" but no one specifically writes if they are good at casting larger baits as i mentioned. Having said that the rod that seems to get the most mention is a silstar crystal tip.

any help or info will be greatly appreciated

thanks

mick

Snyder glass mt8144 is the way to go. Bit on the heavy side but have no issues casting the big baits and bringing in the jews

For a beach rod i tee up my 6500B baitrunner with the Daiwa sensor surf 12"foot rod, rated at 7-15 kilos but will hold up to 40+ no dramas, thats if ur using a garf obviously..

My 2 favorite jew rods are a wilson supergraph FSU5120 and a Nitro Messiah 13". Both are overhead rods but are available in spin configuration. The MT8144 will cast big baits well, but weight does become an issue on those long nights.

so the nitro would handle casting the sorts of weights i am considering??? who sells these rods???
