brown4bb
Finally a Weekend of good weather! and the time to get out Fishing Spend Saturday with the Brother-in-Law (BiL), who wanted to test out his new Plotter / Sounder (Lowrance Elite 5). Started with his son - couldn't unlock the trailer(took at least 15 minutes to find the right key). Next comes the lights ... connected trailer to BiL's new Ford Ranger and the trailer LED's all start flashing ????? Go to move trailer out from its cover ... find one of the Tyres was flat ! BiL grabs his electric pump - cord from car is too short, same from socket inside the boat. Moved next to a second car - to use its socket - to find the plug has fallen apart Finally - tyre is pumped, Lights are working ... still flashing ??? Head off anyway. 5 minutes from the ramp AAArrrggghhhh .... left the plotter behind Bugger it - launched from Woy Woy anyway, calm as you like .... past Box Head to absolute slop - Still give it a go. Only a few clicks out as too rough ... pulled in a Sgt Baker ... moved on quickly. Next - a couple of tinny flat head, nothing to get excited about. So we head back in - to the sure fire spot inside the heads. Drop some burley ... instant reaction - a massive school of Yakkas - picked off a few for livies. Unfortunately nothing bigger came anywhere near us. Even a Pro retrieved his trap with nothing to show. Only thing left was to head back inside ... near the RIP Bridge. Finally some action ..... two of the tinniest Snapper you've ever seen. My Son's goldfish are bigger. OK - had enough pull in the lines and dump the rest of the bait - at least someone will enjoy it. What this - last line in - a 58cm Flattie At least we had a good day enjoying the company and out on the water --- catching a meal at the end was really a bonus, but I'd sure like to get more that one next time. Cheers and tight lines !
