Hi guys

What I'm after is a good quality rod that will be suited to big barramundi fishing in the rivers up in Darwin. This place has been known to produce big fish.

So I'm after something that is capable of flicking lures up to 80 grams. And fish all day with it.

This will be matched to a Stella 5000sw with 40lb braid.

Millerods beast buster toad. Have caught barra to 118 on this rod. Perfect for flinging slick rigs a mile!

I use it down here for snapper jews as well. Can fish 3/8th plastic combo no problem to.

The Beast buster control freaks are perfect for vibes/plastics with simlilar bottom end power but this ones got a lighter tip.

Also I'll be fishing with one of your old staff from carlingford. Teckno. His based over there right now will be visiting him for a week.

Nice, so how the crazy asian going? What a small world we live in! lol

The crazy Asian has joined the army and doing real life counter strike. He might be deployed at the Ed of the year. So a few of us going to hang out for a week.

With thoses rods. Where can I get them. And what are the price range.

I checked out there web site. They only list The beast buster. 3- 6 kg. doesn't list the Toad rods.

Thanks

Kim

Hey Kim,

I just finished building a rod that, in the heavier model, may be ideal for what you're after. The rod I built was a Phenix UMBX-S700L, but the model I would suggest for you would be the UMBX-700XH. It's 7ft long with an extra-fast action, 12-30lb rating and casts lures from 10-42 grams. And believe me, these rods are ridicously small for the punch they deliver, which means you can happily cast all day - the blank on this one only weighs 82 grams.

You should be able to order a pre-built in from the US.
