benm
WIndang mate its firing Been to Windang a few times and fished near the bridge. Nothing but tiny fish. Tried prawns, worms, pilchards... all gets nibbled off quickly even when using baitmate elastic. Fished there in the afternoon to just after sunset. Am I in the wrong place or wrong time? Is the morning really that much better? I live a fair while away. I have caught better fish off Windang island, some nice Kings.

Infront of the bowling club ben, i usually get my fish towards the night a bit late around 10 to 2 ive seen a fair few ppl off the bridge though and they seem to be catching heaps of fish although its illegal to fish off there
fisholb
Mate, below are some of the landbased spots we usually go with my mates. These spots are good spots depending on the time of the year. We go fishing all year round. Beach Wanda Garie Stanwell pk Rocks Little bay Hill60 Bass pt Mate please be very careful when you go fishing off rocks. It can be very dangerous. Never go fishing alone and always check the conditions. Better be safe than sorry.
benm
Thanks mate. Can I ask, where is the best place to fish at Little Bay and Bass Pt? i.e., north or south sides? Cheers.

fisholb
Thanks mate. Can I ask, where is the best place to fish at Little Bay and Bass Pt? i.e., north or south sides? Cheers. mate, little bay the entrance or track we use is off mura mura place. just inside the golf course. you can see the spot on your left when you enter the golf course. be very careful going down and back up. you need cleats and very strong legs. you need to 'rock hop' to go in and out of this spot. travel very light. best time to go there is weekdays early mornings. check conditions before you go down there. bass point the gate opens around 6am and close around 7pm. just follow the track until you reach the carpark on your left side. very easy access. very safe too. just dont go to your right side where the waves usually comes in. alot of fishos and divers go to this spot. best time is also weeekdays. st00ge
Bass point, and Hill60 has been firing up these past few weeks with HUGE bonitos and salmon just started firing up this last week, but a word of advice it can get pretty dangerous at these spots like any rock fishing spots so check the swell, wind, tide etc. and as people said in the past posts, these places can get pretty crowded... and i mean very crowded so either get out there early and bag a spot or go during weekdays where its crowded still at times but not as much. goodluck!
