3 Day Port Report

[REEF MAGIC CHARTERS]

Well the Sunday of the interclub saw the conditions very similar to Saturday & most of the boats were on the carpark skip baiting & live baiting. The top boats from Saturday again fished well with Diversion tagging 6 or 7.

We managed 2 from 3 - 1 black & 2 stripes but again a lot of boats went zeros. Some big fish were again lost after long battles. Sydney trailer boat Online spent 7.5 hours on a very large black marlin which was eventually lost at the boat - a heart breaking loss.. next time boys.

Monday saw ladies day but again we had a charter. First baits in the water saw the surface bait taken and Michael got saddled for what turned out to be a 3.5 hour battle with a 450kg tiger shark that we had to the double numerous times and eventually got a tag shot. Not a bad effort with a 100lb mono leader. We went back west after the fish took us 4 miles to the east and put the baits back in an straight away hooked up a second shark which turned out to be another tiger.

Tuesday saw us fish further south and got 2 from 3. The first was a nice 80kg striped after a quick battle, the second fish was a 2.5 hour battle on 24kg which turned out to be a 110kg striped which didn't show it's head for 45 minutes. A great effort by Munsey.

We are having a day off today and back out tomorrow.

We still have Sunday the 11th free if anyone is interested.

fished with mike&damo on tuesday 28th feb couldnt fish with a better crew , they fish hard all day for their clients while everyone else got zip we got 2 from 3 both stripeys, robbos was about 80 kg mine about 110 kg .great day out.cant wait for the fin to start up will b booking another trip for sure .sorry for late post damo feet havent touched the ground since i got home.cant wait to see the footage from the gopro on disc when u get time.if you havent been out with reefmagic charters you havnt been fishn!!! cheers munnsy
