smithroosters
Hey everyone, I have always loved going shark fishing with my friends but always have used their gear and not taken much notice of where we were, but recently I bought a shimano TLD 20 specifically for shark fishing. So just looking for any spots or tips for in the Brisbane/Moreton Bay area. Any advice is great. Nick
kmatch
Im no expert on the matter but I have cousins who used to live in Marrumba Downs that used to catch quite a lot of sharks in the Pine River around deep water bend and along the stretch of river next to Acacia Park
rjc123
Brisbane is loaded with sharks, big and small. Mainly Bull sharks in the rivers though. At the mouth of the river there have been Bull Sharks caught up to 10ft long! They used heavier gear than you have mentioned but it would be great fun to fight a beast like that on a TLD 20! Apparently whole EELS are the go... Don't know who worked that out, but it WORKS! Just about anywhere in the river with a channel, deepish water and plentiful food should mean sharks are nearby. Burley VERY hard and use fish frames as burely. Good luck, Tom
