locodave Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Hi guys, I am looking for a good fibreglass guy to work on my boat in the future. I want to get a few things fixed, and if I get a new sounder want the old holes patched up like it was never there before. And if I get a new engine, I want the dash to look like it has never had a gauge before. Is that possible? Anyone you would recommend?
Plumb Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Where are you located? I've used "spits fiberglass " in taren point before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LeoB Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 G'day locodave You can save plenty of coin in the long run, by doing the work yourself. It takes a bit for initial set up, but it's easier than you think. And while your at it you can pretty much add or remove whatever you want. There's heaps of info online and some extremely helpful books. Cheers Leo
Juggs Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 One word off advice if your going to have a go yourself Buy the best dust mask you can afford, paper masks are not acceptable from any oh&s stand point Double can respirator at minimum
locodave Posted April 23, 2012 Author Posted April 23, 2012 I am happy to go to taren point if it's good work! I did all the electrics on my boat so I am happy I saved some coin there, but glassing is something I rather not do. Coz if I stuff up, I will hate myself haha!
