TunaSickle Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Hi all, Could anyone recommend a boating location with a boat ramp in the Sydney Area to go for a quick fish with a 7 month old baby? Somewhere that is a litle wind protected and the water is quite calm. thanks. Ashley
Plumb Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 What size boat? Try the Woronora river, its pretty sheltered but no floating pontoon. I’m taking my kids / cousins to the park there on Sunday. In the boat ramp section theirs details, but i don’t know how to add a link.
GregL Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Narrabeen lakes, cowan/apple tree bay, coal and candle creek/akuna bay. I'd say Narrabeen cause there are decent flatties and whitting on poppers atm.
Guest Aussie007 Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Ashley depends where u are in sydney most if not all waterways have some sheltered areas
TunaSickle Posted April 24, 2012 Author Posted April 24, 2012 Thanks all. Some good options. I'm near Homebush so everywhere is only about an hour away.

Only going for a short time in a sheltered calm area like a river somewhere. Apple Tree Bay could be the go. We've done a camping trip by a river all ready and she loved it. Ash
imgoin Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 port hacking is also another option i fish it quite often.
