dogbox Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Just a quick report from Botany bay, Launched the boat at Revesby Beach headed down past Como water colour heavy brown with soil run off, the throttle down past Capitan Cook bridge water colour improved as I entered the bay, was top of the tide and green. No fish to report, Burnt a lot of fuel, bought bait that I came home with, broke a reel, and the wind was blowing in the wrong direction to get a reasonable drift. Fish back down the Georges, no luck, Didn't see any boats landing fish. I hate those days, dog box
rockfisherman Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) If there were no bad days fishing, we wouldn't know what a good says fishing was. Fishingphase Edited April 27, 2012 by fishingphase
Guest Aussie007 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 what kind of boat were u in? we were out on the bay put the boat in between the bridges and drove to the oil wharf we got harassed by massive yakka's, leather jackets and small snappers a big hoodlum showed its face it took a piece of bait that had fallen off my hook and drifted 3m away from my boat the kingy would have been easy 80cm
Jewdreamer Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Soryy to hear you had no luck, but at least you got out there! Best of luck next time mate

Guest Aussie007 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Planning on going tomorrow not sure if its worth it or not.. will launch at 11.30am for the 1pm high tide sound around the drums the bait fish we were catching today seem to take shelter under the boat there was plenty of action on the fish finder at times half a screen full of fish moving around all depths but mostly within a couple of meters under the surface the yakkas are fun to catch being 25cm long but if u can snag a kingy it will stretch your arms good luck but u wont need it
