Jew Stalker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 (edited) I am heading up to Eucumbene next weekend with the family for a weekend away and to try my hand at trout fishing but have never been there before. I have seen websites for places but would like fellow fishraider opinions on the best place to stay with my missus and two kids (little girl is 8 and little boy is 4 months so somewhere cosy would be great). I am guessing most places are within proximity to the water where I will just be walking the banks with a collection of lures so perhaps an opinion on places which are good for that too. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Luc. Edited April 28, 2012 by Jew Stalker
jayoox Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Luc, Check out Buckenderra holiday lodge which is a well known fishing launch point. Also Anglers Reach. Both are on the water and there should be ample advice on where to stroll and cast.
Jew Stalker Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Will do, thanks mate! I can't wait to throw everything I have at them and I'm sure the family will love the mountains.
TheCount Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Luc, Check out Buckenderra holiday lodge which is a well known fishing launch point. Also Anglers Reach. Both are on the water and there should be ample advice on where to stroll and cast. I'll second the vote for Buckandeera Lodge. Stayed there a little while ago and was the only place we could get mud-eyes... Might be different now with the rains. Nice trout about!
