Humminbird 788 HD combo

Gday raiders just abit of feedback would be great on how this unit goes? I'm looking to upgrade to something along these lines and price range of this! Any advice is muchly appreciated. Cheers bergo

We have HUMMINBIRD 798CXI SI HD COMBO which I love.

I have had Navman before and was never happy with them.

I did a lot of research on all brands before we purchased one and Humminbird always came out on top of my list.

Humminbird is very easy to use with great resolution.

Depending on what you want to use it for you might want to check out side imaging models (788 combo doesn't have it and with Humminbird you still only need the one transducer).

With all the features I don't think you can go wrong with Humminbird - Freeze Frame with ability to Mark Structure on Sonar feature I find very useful. Also the Sonar Snapshot is handy if you want to keep a record on your computer, you just take out the SD card and put it in your computer.

I do a lot of trolling and downrigging do you think the side imaging will help? Cause I was very stuck with weather paying that bit extra was worth it! By the way thanks a ton that's great advice!

And also for trolling and downrigging is the side imaging or down imaging more useful

I believe side imaging for trolling against banks and walls is a great advantage.
