matyg Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 went down yesterday morning with my brother for a run out from brooklyn, got into some flounder out towards the entrance to pittwater and in front of flint and steel, but the best spot was on high tide at juno point heaps of boats there we ran into some good sized salmon pulled my best one in so far was about 55 cm got him on 4lb line so pretty happy with that, does anyone know what that would weigh don't have any scales caught him on strips of tailor we got just before and there was a pretty big tailor head in his stomach water is still pretty warm but dirty when the tide changed
aeb870 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 (edited) It's a tricky questions, I have caught 2 different Salmons at 58cm however one weighed 4.2kg (my heaviest so far) and the other 2.4kg. I even caught salmon at 62cm and it only weighed around 3kg. My guess with your one is probably no less than 2.2kg. Edited May 6, 2012 by aeb870
