Interesting Fish From Watsons Bay

Went out for an early morning fish on Wednesday(sorry about the late report), a few hours into it I pull this beautiful looking fish out. Does anyone know what it is? It measured 26cm, put up a bit of a fight. Chucked it back in the water, but was tempted to eat it.

Awesome little grouper I see heaps of them when I go spearing

Just as well, 30cm is the legal length and 1 only over 60cm you can keep 2 in total by hand line or rod only.
