abiasin Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Hi All, we are getting to that time where cowan is lit up like a xmas tree with everyone chasing hairtail! although i have caught my fair share over the past few years I would have to say I still have plenty to learn as the missed hookups are plentiful! I have a couple of questions I would love answers or opinions too from anyone and everyone; #1 Wire trace, singlestrand or fluro leaders???? #2 Pillies or slabs of fish (gar has worked well for me in the past)???? #3 Middle of bays or tucked in close to the shore???? #4 Rising tide or runout tide???? #5 and lastly what moon phase have you had better success on???? any infomoration would be much appreciated!
abiasin Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 I had the same idea re the single strand as it is apparently very hard for fish to see in the water and durable.
